The deal I had with Chris, the guy who took my stock shocks and gave me his X shocks in exchange, was that I was to pay shipping both ways. There is thus no cost associated to the shocks themselves other than shipping costs. The X shock package kit is approx 2000$ US from the dealer and the stock shocks are around 500$ US for the whole set so my paying shipping was only natural.
Unfortunately though, one of the shocks got damaged during transport because of bad packaging. Chris was nice and dropped the shipping charges to cover for the repairs. Word of caution, the hose that clamps to the rear shock has some good leverage so if you're going to ship those, make sure you pad that area well and that the shocks cannot move in the box they are packed in.
